Sony Ericsson has launched the Xperia X1, the first product under Sony Ericsson’s new premium sub-brand Xperia yesterday. It is now available in the UK, Germany and Sweden. Singapore including the rest of Asia should get it sometime this month or next.

The high-end WIFI enabled 3G device has an extremely stylish handset encased in a real stainless steel body, with an arc-slider design, supported by a powerful multimedia ecosystem. It runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 and has a new and unique panel interface that allows you to enjoy easy access to the Web, multimedia, applications from the desktop by navigating with the tip of your finger. You can also personalise the panel interface - there's nine customisable panel icons - to suit your needs and lifestyle. The X1 also comes with a full QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2 megapixel camera, Internet Explorer Mobile, Opera 9.5 browser, RSS feeds, optical Joystick navigation, up to 400 MB phone memory, microSD memory card support and more.

Update: The Xperia X1 is available in Singapore from November 8. You can view my unboxing pics of the X1 here and read my review here.
